Hi Rebecca, Conditional orders can be delayed due to court backlogs, as court systems can become overwhelmed with cases and have difficulty keeping up with demand. There are many potential reasons for court backlogs, including an increase in the number of cases being filed, a lack of resources such as judges or courtrooms, and procedural issues within the court system.
To minimize the potential for delays, it is important to follow all steps relating to the conditional order precisely and to fulfil the requirements carefully, as errors or omissions can lead to further complications and prolong the process.
