We’re in half term this week and I’m already feeling fed up and overwhlemed. My kids (7 and 10) normally split time between me and their dad, but he's conveniently gone away so I've got them for the full week this time. We separated last year and the coparenting has generally worked well, but this is my first time managing a whole week solo.
The weather is pretty grim so outdoor activities are limited, and my budget is tighter now that we’re living separately. Everything feels like double the effort when it’s just me.
How do you survive half term on your own? Any tips for keeping the kids entertained, staying sane, and not breaking the bank? Would love to hear what’s worked for others.
