Starting the divorce process can feel overwhelming, and one question that comes up a lot is how and when to involve your partner. Some people want to be transparent and start talking straight away, while others worry about how their partner will react or if it will just make things more tense.

On Monday 2nd March at 12:30pm, our Divorce Specialist Gemma Collier will be running a 45-minute webinar on “The first steps: engaging your partner in the divorce process”. She’ll share practical tips on starting the conversation, keeping it neutral, and guiding a willing partner through the early stages, as well as strategies for situations where your partner is hesitant or resistant. There’ll be time for questions too.

Before the webinar, we’d love to hear from the community:

How did you approach telling your partner you wanted to start the divorce process?

Did you run into any unexpected reactions?

What would have helped make those early conversations easier?

Sharing your experiences here might help others feel less alone and shape some of the discussion in the webinar.
