Our divorce states I am to pay for a % of direct transportation to and from our homes. Am I obligated pay for the full cost of if my ex drives cross country on a road trip to return our kids. Also, if he decides to purchase 1st class tickets am I required to pay the full amount?

It depends what your order states. I have to pay half of all travel and accommodation during term time when he visits the kids. We base it on the direct milage from his house to mine. If he chooses to do a road trip to get to mine the additional millage should be covered by him. For us it's about what is reasonable and mutually agreeable. I would not say including a road trip is reasonable. I would suggest getting advice from amicable or your solicitor if you are able.
