Until we sell our house my ex and I are having to live together. We both work full time and it takes both incomes to keep the house going (including costs for a 17 yo and 20 yo).
He earns proportionately more than me and I have therefore asked him to contribute a higher amount for essential costs. (His income equates to 59% of costs mine 41%). I cannot contribute anymore as I simply haven’t the funds to do this.
However - he believes we should be 50/50. This is only until we sell the house. I’m not sure where I sit legally here.
