Costs of enforcement of a maintenance order are taking me into debt.

Originally paid £20K to get a financial order approved through court for maintenance and split of assets.

3 years later ex ceased paying maintenance with 3 days notice (despite earning the same level of income). I should have come to Amicable then but he was refusing to give me details of his working contract and I wasn’t prepared to negotiate blindfold. Solicitor quoted £5-6K for enforcement action against £20K arrears so proceeded. Bill now up to £34K and they have me in a headlock. Chasing me for legal fees they have clicked up on hourly rate I had no foresight of and I do not have the money to pay. Final hearing in July and they are refusing to give barrister case notes unless I pay. This will take me into debt. Ex now produced accountant letter saying he can only access max of £6K from bus towards arrears (no contribution to legal costs). Have called booked with Amicable to see how I can settle out of court but don’t know how to handle the solicitors demands for payment.
