Hello
My husband does not want to move out of the family home but cannot afford to buy me out or pay the mortgage. His mother is offering to buy me out and also give extra money to him that will make the mortgage smaller so he will be able to get a sole mortgage on it. However as this is a large sum of money, she doesn’t want to do this while legally I could still get to that money. Therefore we have to wait for part of the divorce to come through. Which part is this, and when does it happen - that she will be happy to buy me out because I have no claims to money - is this the financial order?
