I'm £10k short to buy out my husband from our house. He is refusing to negiotiate on price and wants 50% of the equity. What is my best option? Him taking £10k from my pension or a deferred charge against property payable or sale/re-mortgage/trigger date? Our mediator has said this would need to be % of property rather than £10k. Is this correct? Please advise which produces the fairest overall settlement?
