Government increases court fees for divorcing and separating couples in England and Wales

On the 30th of September 2021, the government increased the court fees to divorce and separate. This means, that separating couples in England and Wales will pay more for applying for the legal paperwork associated with their divorce (unless you are eligible for a discount or exemption).
When will the court fee costs change?
As of today (Thursday 30th September) the government court fees to divorce and separate have increased.
What are the changes in court fees?
The cost of applying for a divorce or dissolution (D8) has increased from £550 to £593.
The cost of submitting a consent order (the financial split part of your divorce or dissolution) has increased from £50 to £53
How do I find out if we can get a discount on the divorce court fee?
