Introducing the amicable co-parenting app
Over the past four years since launching amicable, we have helped thousands of couples through the divorce, separation and co-parenting journey. In doing so, we have learnt a lot from our customers, and we are continuing to develop a deeper understanding of what separating couples want and need from us.
Why we created the app
A key piece of feedback from our customers has been the need for support with parents' transition to co-parents and managing life as separated parents. We're therefore delighted to announce we have launched the amicable co-parenting app.
In the UK, around 50,000 families seek court help every year for childcare arrangements. The amicable co-parenting app hopes to reduce conflict and confusion between co-parents by providing tools that improve communication and offering advice that helps separated couples navigate difficult co-parenting issues.
Who created the app?
The app was built in collaboration with our Divorce and Separation Specialists and customers. By combining tools and advice to make co-parenting simpler and more organised, the app enables co-parents to have more time and energy to focus on their children.
What are the app's features?
The app features beautifully designed tools and is the only app on the market to include the ability to book human support (a Specialist) via 15-minute troubleshooting calls. Here's a full breakdown of all the features:
Co-parenting advice
Sometimes technology alone can't solve personal issues; that's why it was essential to include human support within the app. Book a call to speak to one of our Co-parenting Specialists, either alone or with your ex-partner, to work through common co-parenting problems.
Co-parenting calendar
Stay organised and on the same page with the help of our co-parenting calendar. Track individual and shared events, including school drop-offs and pickups, dental appointments, medical appointments and school holidays.
Co-parenting goals
We know that goal setting is an effective way to keep focused on the future rather than getting stuck in the past. The goals feature allows you to set personal and shared goals to keep you both focused on the future and able to manage each other's co-parenting expectations.
Use pre-filled suggestions based on common parenting topics or create your own bespoke goals unique to your family dynamic and set-up.
Messaging function
The messaging function is a secure place to communicate with your co-parent. It is a popular feature as it allows co-parents to keep their messages in one place and away from WhatsApp, personal and work emails.
We've included predefined topics to get you started and the ability to create your own. For example, football practice and exams. Unlike most messaging tools, messages are time-stamped and can't be deleted.
How much does the app cost?
You can try all the features of the app for free via the 30-day trial. After the trial, the monthly cost is £9.99 or an annual fee of £99.99.
The app exists to help separated and separating parents manage all aspects of co-parenting in one secure place, making parenting after divorce and separation simpler. This first version of the app is just the start, and we'll be adding new features based on feedback.
How do you download the app?
The app is available on iOS and Android, you can download the app today by using the buttons below. Once you've created your account, you can invite your co-parent so they can benefit from its features too.
