amicable is an online service for separating and divorcing couples. We help you reach an agreement without needing separate solicitors. Since 6th April 2022, all divorces in England and Wales are no-fault.

Most people underestimate how long their divorce will take. Divorces started after 6th April 2022 take a minimum of seven months, because of mandatory reflection periods built into the process. The longer things take, the harder it can be to stay amicable – so we help you prepare everything up front, ready to move as soon as you are.

amicable is a fixed-price service, and you only pay for what you need. Going to court is usually the most expensive and drawn-out route, and can take two years or more. Mediation helps you reach an agreement but doesn't cover the legal paperwork, so you'll need separate support for that. A solicitor can manage everything but usually costs more, partly because you're both paying for your own. amicable is typically less expensive than either of those routes, with services from £300 up to £5,910 per couple inc VAT depending on what you need, and you can split payments across three, six or ten months.
