FAQs
Who is amicable?
amicable is the trusted service for couples at every stage of their relationship. From planning a life together to navigating separation, our unique approach helps couples make clear, calm and fair decisions, together.
What is a cohabitation agreement?
A cohabitation agreement, also called a ‘living together agreement’, documents arrangements between a couple who are living together, providing protection now and in the future. A cohabitation agreement can be established at any relationship stage, whether you’re just moving in together or have lived together for years already.
How is amicable different to using solicitors and mediation?
Unlike solicitors, amicable works with couples together to avoid miscommunication and unnecessary conflict. We’re different from mediation because we can also manage the legal process.
How do your services work?
amicable offers a range of different services, from planning support for couples to negotiation and legal services for those separating or divorcing. Our unique approach puts people and families at the centre.
How long does it take?
A cohabitation agreement will take around one to two weeks to prepare once the required information has been provided.
